RoofInspect AI started on video sets, not rooftops. As Visual Stories by Anthony, I've spent years flying drones commercially across the Lake Houston area — cinematic work for brands, real estate, and events. Hundreds of flight hours teaches you two things: how to put a camera exactly where it needs to be, and how much detail a good aerial image actually holds.

Roofs kept showing up in that footage. And with them, a pattern: homeowners had no practical way to know what was happening on top of their own house. Climbing up is dangerous and can damage brittle shingles. Contractor opinions vary with who's selling what. Insurance adjusters show up once, after you've already filed. The information gap costs real money — usually the homeowner's.

So I built the missing piece: a computer-vision system trained specifically on roof damage. It scans every frame of a flight and flags what matters — missing and lifted shingles, repair areas, rust, gutter debris buildup — each with a confidence score and location. The AI makes sure nothing gets missed. Then I review every finding before it reaches your report, so nothing gets exaggerated either. That combination — machine coverage, human judgment — is the whole idea.

What we believe

Nobody should have to guess about their roof. Not homeowners deciding whether to file a claim, not buyers three days from closing, not property managers triaging a portfolio, not contractors scoping a bid. The condition of a roof is a fact — it should be documented like one: GPS-tagged, timestamped, annotated, and readable by a human.

The inspection shouldn't cause damage. Every inspection we do is flown, not walked. No ladders on your gutters, no boots on shingles that may already be compromised, no strangers on your property while you're away.

Local matters. We live where we fly. Gulf Coast weather — the hail lines, the wind events, the humidity that ages a roof faster than the warranty brochure admits — isn't an abstraction to us; it's the neighborhood forecast.
